King Valley has proven to be vibrant and expressive over the 3 vintages I have sourced fruit. As with the well received 04, this wine displays wonderful texture and varietal expression which incorporates the fine tannin and lifted perfume and fresh clear acidity. This will develop over 5-8 years.
- Dark red, brilliant.
- Tightly focused nose in old fashioned style Barbera. Violets, dark berries and a floral lift.
- Palate also reveals tight focus and length with violets and cherries and a brambly undercurrent. Classic Barbera structure with fine dusty tannins leaving the palate salivating and ready for more. A true food wine.
252 cases of the 2005 Barbera were produced.

2007 November Launch
The 2007 launch saw Mac travel up the east coast. The new wines were showcased in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane and those that were lucky enough to make it to one of the dinners in each city were spoilt with not only his new wines but also a selected number of wines from overseas including some wonderful Champagne, Italian reds and ports.
