Part of the first years release of sub-regional terroir based Pinots, this wine if from the south westerly facing slope of Mt Mary in Coldstream opposite St Huberts. True to style, this fruit was picked early, hand plunged and foot stomped and pressed without over extraction. This possibly shows the most typical Yarra Pinot character. Like the Woori, this is left on lees for 16 months. Bottled Aug 07.
- Pale brilliant strawberry and plum red.
- Attractive coolness on the nose of sour fruit with restraint, elegance and perfume. Lovely fruit lift with seamless integration. Oak caressing in the background.
- A surge of cherry and slightly undercooked rhubarb lifts and runs along the palate. Good depth and texture. Needs time to evolve and fill.
230 cases of the 2006 Coldstream Pinot were produced.
