Cabernet Sauvignon masterclass and lunch
Mac, Tony and Dylan would like to invite you to the first masterclass/lunch to be held at the new winery in Healesville.

The theme for this masterclass is Cabernet Sauvignon focusing on the unique qualities of this family of varieties. The day will examine Cabernet from soil to bottle tasting benchmark Cabernets from around the globe.

Cabernet (Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot) has been somewhat maligned as varieties and as a style of wine over the last few years, with Shiraz and Pinot Noir attracting so much attention. However, this wonderful family of grapes is gradually reestablishing its position in the market as one of the world’s most impressive grapes.

This masterclass will consider what is definitive Cabernet and what trends are affecting the direction for both Cabernet and Cabernet blends. This day will offer fantastic value as wines from Bordeaux (right and left bank), California, Margaret River, Coonawarra and the Yarra Valley will be tasted followed by a three course lunch drawing on the local produce of the Yarra Valley.
