Strathbogie Ranges and Riesling are a combination we are passionate about. However, working with Chris Bennett (Grower) we are also planning to graft Gruner Veltliner onto some old Cabernet vines in the next couple of years.

Last year (2008), we also commenced production of our treasured sparkling Blanc de Blanc (100% Chardonnay). This is still in bottle on lees and we don’t plan to disgorge our first batch until 2010 or 2011. Not that we aren’t still having fun following this exciting process.

The photo of Tony having a practice run at opening a bottle after our successful trade release in October shows he needs a lot of practice before we undertake more than one bottle!!

The wine itself looks great. Very exciting for us to have this little side project….

Armadale Cellars and Mac Forbes invite you to an intimate tasting of the new 2009 release wines. On Tuesday 8th December Mac will showcase a number of his new wines including the 2008 pinots and the 2009 RS16 Riesling. Featured on the evening will be the new sub-regional map launched by mac last month.
