Every year we come across unusual parcels of fruit that sit outside our normal range. These parcels contribute to our alternative wines range. This year this includes my Austrian wines which I made whilst working in Carnuntum and some others including the King Valley Barbera and Yarra Arneis.
This white Austrian variety is now recognised around the world for its versatility and expression. This Gruner is part barrel fermented in old wood with the other component fermented wild at 11°C before blending.

The 'other' red grape variety of Piedmont, this is considered 'the people's wine' in that region due to its abundance and drinkability. It is known for its high levels of natural acid which is obviously why Mac is a fan.

Originating from Piedmont in Italy and sometimes referred to as 'White Barolo', but without the hefty price tag! Mac's take on the variety is dry, floral and textural.
